Shape Your Peninsula's Future Bus & Ferry Services!
Have your say on how you get around Whangaparāoa! Auckland Transport is seeking your feedback on potential bus and ferry services for the peninsula after the O Mahurangi Penlink opens. They've outlined three scenarios for you to consider - from increased ferry frequencies to a new rapid bus route.
- Scenario 1 is similar to the existing public transport network, but with buses and the Gulf Harbour ferry running more often than they do today.
- Scenario 2 is a bus-only scenario, with the NX2 serving a new Whangaparāoa Station via O Mahurangi Penlink, and a new frequent bus service running between Gulf Harbour and the new station. The Gulf Harbour ferry would not run.
- Scenario 3 includes the Gulf Harbour ferry, and a new frequent bus service running between Gulf Harbour and Hibiscus Coast Station. The NX2 would not use O Mahurangi Penlink and would serve Hibiscus Coast Station at peak commuting times on weekdays only.
The friendly folk from AT will be at Coast Plaza this Saturday, come along to find out what’s possible, ask questions and give yourfeedback.
